Grocery Program Sign Up

The Grocery Program is our Home and School Association’s second most lucrative fundraiser – last year we received close to $14,000 -- and it costs the shopper nothing.

Thanks again to all of you who have sent in your grocery card numbers.  We expect to raise over $13,000 this school-year with this program.  This week,  BSS was noted by Giant Food as once of the top recipients of the Washington DC schools.  If you are interested in participating in this program or adding numbers of friends and family its not too late.  Send in your Safeway and/or Giant bonus card numbers with your name, address and phone number to my attention (Lisa Flores).  Please continue to save your Chevy Chase Supermarket receipts during the summer, they will also provide a donation to BSS based on receipts collected throughout the year.

  To join, here’s what you need to do:

• Click here to fill out the form and send it in to the Grocery Program box at the school office or boxes at the church entrance doors.  Please include numbers for all the cards used by your family members and caregivers.   If  you requested last year to be automatically re-registered we will do so.
•  If you don’t have your Giant or Safeway card numbers handy, please get them from the grocery store; they will not release card numbers to us on your behalf.  You may also phone Giant at 1-877-275-2758 or Safeway at 1-877-723-3929 for your Bonus Card information.
•  Save your Chevy Chase Supermarket receipts and deposit them periodically in the Grocery Program boxes at the church doors. 
• Use your Giant and Safeway cards when you shop there.
