Science club is open to all 5th and 6th grade students and run by science teachers Angela Marshall and Meghan Matthews.
Research shows that early interest in science is a better predictor of future academic and career decisions than math achievement test scores. The U.S. Department of Labor predicts that more than half of all careers will require substantial math or science preparation.
Science club meets the first Monday of each month from 3:15 - 4:45pm.
- Each session will be designed to stand alone.
- The cost will be $30.00 per monthly session.
- The learning process will be emphasized more than mastering content.
- Students shall play active roles, relying on the teacher for support.
