The Archdiocese of Washington requires school volunteers to be in compliance with the Child Protection Policy.
Step 1: Create a Virtus account at www.virtus.org
Step 2: Volunteers must register for and attend a virtual Protecting God's Children training. A list of virtual training dates/times can be found by logging into your Virtus account. Please note that the Protecting God's Children training must be completed within 60 days of creating your Virtus account (step 1). Please be advised you will need to sign and return a Policy Acknowledgement form to Allison Cogswell. The form will be provided following the training.
Step 3: Volunteers must complete a Volunteer Application.
Step 4: All volunteers are required to be fingerprinted for a background check with an approved provider. Please schedule a fingerprinting appointment with one of the approved vendors and bring a completed LiveScan Application (with authorization code) to your appointment. Please be advised this is the only form of fingerprinting we are able to accept. One form of government ID will be required at the time of fingerprinting.
